What to Expect After Submitting Your Resume

  • DUNNRITE will contact you via email, text or phone call when a position becomes available that meets your background.

  • Your resume or application will be inserted into our database which job openings from our employer’s database will query daily against the candidate database.

  • The query will identify resumes of candidates who are suitable for the employer’s job opening. 

  • A Recruiter then begins identifying candidates who may possess the skills and talents identified in our search plan for that employer’s job opening. 

  • We then make contact with you on a direct, personal basis, via email, text or phone call.

  • We present the opportunity, objectives, responsibilities, salary and potential of the position. 

  • Only when a strong mutual interest exists does the conversation move forward and interviews occur.

This position is an Owner's Representative role and part of the Programming Team.

Position Description:

Construction Estimator will analyze blueprints and specifications to accurately prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Responsibilities will include performing material take-offs from drawings, contacting subcontractors and suppliers for pricing, travel to job sites to gather information on field conditions, and identification of all cost factors including but not limited to material, labor, equipment, etc. Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities. Prepares construction estimates by studying construction blueprints, technical specifications, and identifying project costs for each element of the proposed improvements. Evaluates all quotes and proposals to ensure compliance with scope of work. Provides written contract brief on special bid stipulations (including but not limited to specialty training, compliance requirements for Set-Aside projects, etc.) Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information as may pertain to bidding. Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. With the use of bid tabulations, periodically reviews the efficacy and accuracy of estimating efforts. Attends pre-bid meetings and walk throughs, and at all other times when necessary, travels to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors.
Monitor and track any changes to solicitations and Request for Proposals (RFPs) such as Amendments and/or Addenda and ensure estimate reflects all modifications. Contributes to team efforts by providing support to the Team as needed.

Job Requirements:

5 - 10 years FAA Airport Construction or Government Building Construction Experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field experience.

Familiarity with industry specific takeoff software such as Bluebeam, Revit, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, etc. Familiarity with national cost databases such as RSMeans and National Cost Estimator.
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) would be an asset but not required
